General Information and How to Apply

The Cairo English School is developing rapidly into one of the best British schools in Cairo due to its popular location and enviable facilities. We are always interested in receiving applications from qualified teachers with appropriate experience who are keen to develop as professionals and individuals. 

We are looking for experienced and well-qualified professionals who exhibit a passion for their subject area and who are enthusiastic about teaching and learning. Applicants should also be flexible, work well in a team, have strengths to share beyond their professional skills and be dedicated to contributing to internationalism and multiculturalism. Our teachers not only work hard but like to engage in sports, other activities and travel in their own time. 

Living and Working in Cairo

Cairo is one of the great cities of the World.  It is steeped in history, being the centre of one of the great civilizations and cultures.  There is always plenty to do, no matter what your interest including sport, music, theatre, cinema and socializing.  There is a wide variety of inexpensive restaurants serving a wide range of cuisines, readily available.  The opportunities for travel, exploration and adventure, both within Egypt and in the Middle East and Africa, are extensive.  The climate is ideal with virtually no rainfall, low humidity and almost constant sunshine. 

Travel to and from the UK is easy (flights are regular and take approximately 4.5 hours each way) and inexpensive (approximtely GBP300 return).   Finally, of course, there are the Pyramids!
