Year 10 Option Selection

Dear CES Parents,

Your child’s options will need to be finalised on the last two days of this term. The 19^th of June will be a day where we have a chance to sit down with students to work out the best option for them next year. We also need to cover the orientation days for the start of next year with the students who have selected IB. Students who are not in attendance may find they can’t get all the options they wanted.

We are having our first Graduation Ceremony this year and it is important that students and parents are clear of the CES requirements to graduate in the future. 

For next year to graduate a student must reach the 90% attendance and the 65% Graduation requirements and

Either  Complete their IB Diploma course

Or      Complete a course at A level. This would require a student to have studied at least 3 AS or A2 level courses and to have completed to the schools satisfaction the 
         compulsory classes (Life Skills, International Award and School Yearbook)  

Please remember that there are course entry requirements:    IB (2 B’s and 3 C’s at IGCSE)
                                                                                        A Levels (5 C’s at IGCSE)

Please make sure your child comes to school on the 19^th and 20^th of June as it is vital they choose the best pathway for them. The school’s first Graduation Awards and Prizegiving will be on the 20^th of June.
