We have come to the end of another busy but productive week. It has been lovely to see the range of happy faces across the Key Stage engaging in the Live Learning. This creates a great sense of reassurance for the children as well as the staff in these unusual times.
From the many supportive emails from parents to both the staff and myself I know that many of you appreciate how hard the teachers have been working to provide online learning for all the children. Can I say how much I appreciate all the support you, the parents, have been giving your children in guiding them through the process.
At the start of the year, during orientation, we talked extensively about how a strong partnership is a triangle between students, parents and school. This has never been more true, as we strive to ensure students reach their personal best.
After parental feedback, some have suggested that there is a bit too much work and a similar number suggest that there is too little. We are striving to make a balance between reasonable expectations of the children at home, whilst providing a broad and balanced curriculum. To help guide you, I have attached a timetable below which shows how the work could be organised, including some of the fixed points, like Zoom Live Lessons. This covers the whole of Primary, so some lessons are not applicable to all, for example Year 3 do not take French.
Thank you for your continued support and flexibility. Together we can continue to do our very best for all the children. I hope you all keep safe and well,
